Participant Code of Conduct
1. Purpose of this Code
This Participant Code of Conduct ("Code") sets the standards of behaviour expected from all athletes competing in events run through the Platform. By entering a competition, participants agree to comply fully with this Code.
2. Commitment to honour the sport
Participants agree to:
- Uphold the values, traditions, and spirit of wushu taolu.
- Demonstrate respect for judges, officials, coaches, fellow athletes, and spectators.
- Compete with dignity, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Represent themselves, their team, and their country with integrity.
Unsporting behaviour damages the reputation of the sport and will not be tolerated.
3. Fair play and integrity
Participants must:
- Compete honestly and fairly at all times.
- Accept judges' decisions with respect, even when disappointed.
- Not attempt to influence, pressure, or intimidate judges, officials, or other athletes.
- Not engage in any behaviour that could be perceived as cheating or manipulation.
4. Anti-manipulation and competition integrity
Participants must not engage in any attempt to manipulate results, including:
- Collusion with other athletes, coaches, or judges.
- Coordinated attempts to influence scoring.
- Intentionally underperforming to benefit a teammate or nation.
- Attempting to disadvantage athletes from other teams, clubs, or countries.
- Any behaviour designed to distort rankings, medals, or qualification outcomes.
Any attempt to manipulate results — even indirectly — is a serious breach of this Code.
5. Anti-bribery and improper influence
Participants must:
- Not offer, request, or accept any gift, payment, favour, or benefit intended to influence judging, scoring, or competition outcomes.
- Not attempt to bribe judges, officials, or other participants.
- Report immediately any attempt by another person to engage in bribery or improper influence.
Bribery is grounds for immediate disqualification and referral to relevant authorities.
6. Anti-doping
Participants must:
- Compete free from banned substances and performance-enhancing drugs.
- Comply with all anti-doping rules applicable to the event or governing body.
- Not use prohibited supplements, stimulants, or substances.
- Not tamper with or evade any doping control procedures (if applicable).
- Where you hold a Therapeutic Use Exemption granted by your National Anti-Doping Organisation or International Federation, you may disclose it for competition operations via the TUE disclosures page. The platform records disclosures only; it does not issue, approve, or substitute for authoritative TUE decisions made by WADA-recognised bodies.
Anti-doping violations may result in disqualification, suspension, or permanent ban.
Notice. This platform is not affiliated with WADA and is not a substitute for ADAMS or NADO procedures. Records here support competition operations only — athletes remain responsible for compliance with the rules of their NADO and IF.
7. Respectful conduct
Participants must:
- Treat all individuals with respect and courtesy.
- Avoid abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behaviour.
- Not engage in bullying, harassment, or intimidation.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions, including online and on social media.
8. Safety and responsibility
Participants must:
- Follow all safety rules and instructions from officials.
- Ensure their own equipment, clothing, and apparatus are safe and fit for purpose.
- Not use damaged or unsafe equipment.
- Report hazards, injuries, or unsafe conditions immediately.
Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others.
9. Honesty in registration and representation
Participants must:
- Provide accurate personal information during registration.
- Not falsify age, identity, nationality, or eligibility.
- Not enter under another person's name or identity.
- Not misrepresent team, club, or national affiliation.
Misrepresentation is grounds for disqualification.

Participants must:
- Follow all competition rules, scoring criteria, and event procedures.
- Attend required briefings or warm-up sessions.
- Be punctual and prepared for their category.
- Accept any penalties for rule violations without dispute.
Failure to comply may result in removal from the event.
11. Consequences of breach
If a participant breaches this Code, organisers and the Platform reserve the right to:
- Issue warnings or penalties.
- Deduct points or adjust scores.
- Disqualify the participant from the event.
- Remove the participant from the venue.
- Suspend or ban the participant from future competitions.
- Report serious breaches (e.g., bribery, doping) to governing bodies or authorities.
Breaches of integrity (bribery, manipulation, doping) may result in immediate disqualification.
12. Participant declaration
By entering a competition, the participant declares that:
